Description
Intumescent Collar for Pipes and Other Services
A hinged, two-part metal pipe collar lined with intumescent material which expands in a fire. Features a quick-release pin, opening the unit for fitting around a wide variety of metal or plastic pipes as well as cables. An intumescent collar is either fitted or rebated into ceilings, floors or walls where services pass through.
Cools down metal, steel and copper pipes, able to compartmentalise fires before they spread across buildings. The intumescent collar will crush plastic and PVC pipes in the event of a fire to prevent fire spread.
Our intumescent collars provide up to 4 hours of passive fire protection for industrial, commercial and other types of buildings. Currently installed in numerous Nuclear Power stations, as well as hospitals to provide passive fire protection. Supplied with brackets for ease of installation.
- Available in various pipe sizes, up to 900mm diameter.
- Alternative versions with acoustic protection are also available.
- Where required, a fireproof sponge filler strip can be provided upon request for special applications.
