Intumescent Pipe Collar Clamp
Pipe collar clamp, an effective means of sealing large-diameter openings for copper, PVC, uPVC and steel pipes including cables. Designed with intumescent to provide effective passive fire protection. Also available in a range of sizes between 650mm to 1000mm, specifically for larger pipes.
In the event of a fire, the pipe collar closes down to seal off fire and smoke within 20 seconds. Intumescent expands several times its original size, reacting immediately when attacked by flames to form a protective layer.
Furthermore, a fire test including Roperhurst plastic pipes with 4.5mm wall thickness and 900mm diameter resulted in 66 minutes integrity. Also tested at Efectis, Netherlands – IS-13-15-03-19. Pipe collar clamps provide up to 4 hours protection for larger pipes up to 650mm diameter.
