Protecting timber substrates with Fire Rated Coatings at Princess Royal Sports Arena, Lincolnshire
As part of the refurbishment on Princess Royal Sports Arena in Bolton in Lincolnshire, Envirograf’s Product 92 ESVFR Clear was specified for all timber and in the pool area HW-CRC Top Coat was specified. The ESVFR Clear coating allowed the grain of the wood to show through and gave a natural and inviting atmosphere to the sports arena. Our Product 92 ESVFR is very hard-wearing and provides class 0 and SBI B/s1/d0 surface spread of flame rating to ensure all areas are fire protected.
In relation to providing protection to the indoor swimming pool, Envirograf® ESVFR Clear fire protective coating was specified along with Envirograf’s HW/CRC Chlorinated Rubber Top Coat was specified to ensure the wood was resistant to chlorine and water vapour from the swimming pool situated below.
