Intumescent Saddles for Over Services
Intumescent-lined fire protection saddles for services. Designed with zintec and intumescent material to provide passive fire protection for pipes, cables and trunking. In the event of fire, the intumescent expands to crush pipes or trunking, preventing fires from spreading. Supplied 50mm deep to provide up to 2 hours fire protection, 100mm for up to 4 hours fire protection.
For use with single or multiple pipes, where pipes are tight against the wall, or over pipes and trunking penetrating suspended ceilings. Also over cable trays.
Dependent on requirements, fire protection saddles for services are also made to order to fit around pipes and trunking of various sizes. Affixed with screws over most types of services passing through any type of wall, floor as well as ceilings. Available in a variety of profiles to easily affix to flat surfaces, including corners.
Tested to:
- BS476 Parts 20 & 22 (1987), achieving 2 hours protection and 4 hours protection, respectively.
- EN 1366-3:2009 achieving 132 minutes integrity and insulation.
