Steel Protection Board
Steel protection board, a non-fibrous, lightweight board measuring 1000mm x 1200mm. Affixed to steel to provide additional fire protection as well as insulation. Cut easily with a sharp knife. Designed for use with structural steelwork and also metal ducting. Also available in white as standard, or available faced with decorative laminate at extra cost.
Cut the board to size with a sharp knife. Adhere board to steel using Envirograf Intumescent Adhesive (Product 46). Adhesive can also fill in the joints between boards. Additionally, off-cuts can adhere into the webs of the steel, providing additional protection and preventing waste.
Furthermore, tested to BS476 Part 22 (1987), achieving integrity and insulation of 104 minutes.
