Fire Safety in Residential Properties

Ensuring fire safety in residential properties is vital in protecting homes, livelihoods, and even lives. In the awful event of a fire, flames and smoke will spread at an alarming rate, therefore destroying everything in its path. Meeting the requirements of Document B – UK Building Regulations will guarantee fire safety.

There were a total of 27,021 fires reported in dwellings 2020/21, 24,362 of which were accidental. As shocking as the statistics are, it is important to acknowledge that over the last few years, fire incidents are decreasing at a steady rate. Down from 28,499 the previous year. Furthermore, to keep these figures decreasing, adhere to UK Building Regulations and install passive fire protection products.

Envirograf® passive fire products can provide protection to all properties with our extensive range of products. Check out our range of Socket and Conduit Protection as well as our Fire Door Upgrade Collection. Furthermore, many of our products contain intumescent which acts as a firestop. In the event of a fire, the intumescent material will expand to completely seal gaps. This will therefore hinder the spread of fire and smoke through any cavity.
