Intumescent Fire Brick

Sponge intumescent fire brick and circular plugs for sealing around services. The Envirobrick comes in two types:-

• A rectangular foam brick which fits around any shape or size of service, as well as cable trays. Provides a temporary or permanent fire seal;
• A cylindrical foam plug which fits inside of pipes. Provides an effective fire stopping barrier as well as a seal which cables or other services can pass through

Envirobrick expands and seals voids and spaces in a fire, providing up to 2 hours of fire protection. Suitable for sealing around pipes, cable trays and cables passing through walls, floors or ceilings.

According to the depth of the wall, the brick can be fitted either way 130mm or 200mm through the wall. However, if the gap between the walls is larger, bricks can be made to suit the size of the gap. If however bricks are placed into hollow partition walls greater than 200mm, we can supply a wall lining to fit into the width of the opening and then apply bricks.

Application Instructions

Envirobrick is very easy to install. Can be cut to fit if necessary using a sharp knife.
Lay the Envirobrick rectangular blocks as bricks to fill any size opening. Can be fitted either way into hollow plasterboard walls – if fitting into a hollow partition wall greater than 200mm we can make a wall lining to fit into the width of the opening first.
Envirobrick circular seals can be used for filling circular holes or pipes and can be cut for pipes, cables, trunking etc to pass through.
Envirograf® black mastic can be used to fill any open joints. Envirobricks can be removed and refitted as required.
