Cable Tray Pillow

A reinforced, glass cloth intumescent cable tray pillow, filled with a fireproof sponge as well as intumescent. Expands to 3 times its original size when exposed to fire, filling gaps in or around cable trays in fire-rated walls, floors or ceilings.

The pillow expands at low pressure, locking together to seal off fires, whilst preserving the integrity of the cable tray.  In the event of a fire, the intumescent breaks through the pillow and expands to seal the cable tray.

Designed with a retention tag to secure onto cable trays, easily removed during wiring inspection and maintenance. Electricians can simply place pillows into cable tray systems to protect cables and replace them where necessary.

Passive fire products manufactured with intumescent assist in compartmentalising fires, preventing fires from spreading within a building. This allows occupants to safely evacuate a building via an escape route.

Application Instructions

Intumescent Cable Tray Pillows are available in a range of sizes to suit standard sizes of cable tray.
Used where cable trays pass through fire rated ceilings, floors and walls. The pillows are simply pushed
into place in the wall, floor or ceiling opening where the cable tray passes through. Supplied with a fitted
cord and retention tag which can be riveted or screwed onto the cable tray to ensure pillows will be
refitted after removal for maintenance or access.
